Johnson Natchitoches LA From information: Glayton Genealogical Library, Houston Texas, 1850 Census of Alabama Choctaw County, and 1860, 70, 80 Census of Rapides Parish Lousiana. 1840 Census Charles Lewis lived in Dale County Alabama and was age 37, his children were James Ennis age 3, John H. age 1, William Wiley age 2, wife Nancy Riley Lewis age 25. From the 1850 Census of Coffee County Alabama age 47 and a Farmer, Nancy was 35, James E. (Ennis or Innis) was 13, William W was 12, John H. was 11, Alex McDaniel Lewis was 10, Jorden M. was 8, Jackson W. was 6, Charles C or T was 4, Nancy Elizabeth Matilda Ann Martha Lewis was 2, Sarah Jane was 3. Charles moved to Louisiana after 1856 and is on the Rapides 1860 Census- shows, Charles age 57, Nancy age 45, Innis (James) age 23, Alex (Alia) McDaniel Lewis (male) age 30, Jordan M age 18, Jackson W age 16, Charles C age 14, Matilda Elizabeth Ann Marth Nancy age 12, Sarah J age 10, David William age 8, Mary Amanda age 6, Louisa E (Eliza) age 4, Absolam Pearce age 1., and in the 1870 Rapides Parish Louisiana Census, Anacoca Ward, Alexandria Louisiana, Nancy age 58, Matilda (Nancy) age 25, Sarah J age 22, David William age 17, Mary Amanda age 16, Eliza Louisa age 13 (assumed that Charles is dead as he is not listed in 1870 census).

[429] Walter Thomley ran a country store and garage in Wicksburg, Alabama. The main part of the store was later the home of Oliver James Sansbury, located across the highway from Wicksburg High School. The are was known then as "Cussville", according to Mr. Spergon "Pete" Thomley. The preceeding note came by way of Maureen Thomley Barnes from George Sansbury, son of Oliver James Sansbury.
